More Women’s Power and Intuition To Shape The World Together

I caught up with Serene Ong, the VP of Global Sales Ops and Commercial Operations at Marken.

This time around, we caught up for our #riseup conversation over a great lunch and maccha dessert.

Serene is one lady who is passionate about what she does.

I was deeply impressed with the fact that, although she had six children, she is able to balance her career and family ad-mist all the heavy travelling.

I appreciate her way of parenting which revolve around empowering her children to become independent from an early age.

Here is my RISEUP insight from our conversation

1. Be Passionate About What You Do

If you chat with Serene, you can sense the energy and focus she brings into her work and conversation.

Through our chat, I see how UPGRADING your mind with constant learning, exploration, and experiments are crucial keys to succeeding at anything.

Be willing to learn
Be willing to network
Be willing to experiment.

No matter how experienced you are.

The surest and fastest way is to learn from others.

2. Raising Passionate Women Leaders

Serene is highly passionate about raising the new generation of women leaders, and I echoed that too.

I have met several other women leaders, and the world needs more of them.

They offered unique and, at times, humane perspectives that perhaps men can’t see.

We, as men, tend to be much more logical, which, at times, is not ideal if we constantly use a logical approach.

There is a delicate balance between a man’s logical thinking and a woman’s intuitive perspective.

Combined, we have a focused yet humane approach to perspectives and business.

The new world today needs these combinations more than ever.

3. Be Passionate About Who You Are.

It is a challenge balancing who you are at work and home.

Our identity is not the flyer miles we have.

It does not matter whether you are a Solitaire member because no one remembers at the end of the day.

Instead, always keep in touch with what you stand for.

Because when tough times come, what you stand for will get you through the darkest hours.
