Be Kind To Those Who Show Up

Be Kind To Those Who Show Up

I am a fan of SCOOP.

And this is not a sponsored post. Lol… I wish it were… 🙂

While shopping to replenish my healthy breakfast staple, I saw these signs on the counter.

THE WHOLE WORLD IS SHORT-STAFF, BE KIND TO THOSE WHO SHOW UP.

We used to take the people who worked with us for granted until they were gone.

The mass resignation followed by the mass layoff signals that the world can become ironic and unpredictable at times

But what is the most predictable are those who SHOWUP.

#1 SHOW UP IS A SIGN OF STRENGTH

Showing Up takes effort. That is why it is worth it.

There are days when you don’t feel like Showing Up.

It is easier to lie down and give up.

Interestingly, your body will feel like getting up again after prolonged lying down.

It is a sign that your body is capable of RISING to something greater.

It is a message that it is time to come back up stronger.

#2 SHOW UP IS A SIGN OF ACCOUNTABILITY

We know that when teammates are no longer around,

Those who remain have to take over their job and have more things on their plate.

However, when people still Show Up, it is not about having a job but a reflection of who they are.

It shows accountability and pride in who they are and what they do.

That is why they SHOWUP when they could have walked away too.

#3 SHOW UP IS A SIGN OF SELF RESPECT

When we Show Up at work and in life, we respect ourselves.

We don’t wait for others to respect us.

When we know how to respect ourselves, we are given respect in return.

And we do that by:

Showing Up when most people choose not to.

Showing Up when the whole world says no.

Showing Up when you feel like giving up.

Are you SHOWING UP Today?

This is Joseph@RISEUP Signing Off.
