I am so glad that I caught up for coffee with Kenneth Daniel TAN recently. It was a mind-blowing conversation.
He is currently the President and SVP of Varian, a health tech company specialising in delivering innovative cancer care technologies.
I love his โdivine story and coincidenceโ in joining the medical industry during his youth.
What did I learn from our chat?

I respect him for making a tough decision in his career as the president of a Health Tech organisation.
While most leaders might have taken a shortcut to make a decision based on P&L, Kenneth decided otherwise. He believed in doing the right thing even though it was a tough call at times.

I love what Kenneth is doing.
He created an exclusive mentoring group.
He does not charge a fee per se, but selected mentees must contribute to a charity of their choice.
And by doing so, not only the beneficiary benefitted, but the mentor and mentee significantly impacted each other and the ecosystem.

I learned from Kenneth that he is not shy to ask for advice from his mentorship team.
Be it in career or life, nothing is by chance.
We have to be intentional about what we choose.
Finally, Kenneth is a positive rebel at heart.
I suspect I am a rebel at heart too. Lol…
I believe that rebels can change the world faster than we think.
Because of them, we are in a better place.
This is Joseph, signing off.
